Studs Up! is the newest and best soccer store in West Michigan (perhaps all of Michigan) – you be the judge!
We are located in East Grand Rapids, MI, surrounded by a beautiful lake and older homes. The store is located in Gaslight Village (the name says it all) and just 2 blocks away from the EGR High School, featuring two synthetic turf soccer/lacrosse fields. Simply put, as one customer mentioned, we are in the middle of ‘Soccer/Lacrosse Central’.
We opened our doors on August 14. Our customers are telling us that it is great to finally have an option in town where the emphasis is on soccer (not running/outdoor) and where the soccer/lacrosse footwear knowledge is second to none. Our primary goal is to be a part of the sports we specialize in, not just merchants to those same sports.
As the former VP at both Wolverine Worldwide (Merrell, Hush Puppies, CAT, Harley Davidson etc..) and Stride Rite Corporation, I am adamant about service, shoe fitting and offering the best soccer/lacrosse brands. The staff is former and current All State/All American players, college, W-League coaches and current PDL players at a minimum. As an example of my approach to this business, I have listed just some of the recent promotional activity we have executed.I want you to enjoy the Studs Up! experience, and I want you to enjoy the games you play.

- Distributed 5000+ promo stickers at all 49 club tryouts within 50 mile radius in W. Michigan in June. This includes a presence at all State High School finals across the state.
- Delivered another 1000+ stickers to over 20 camps in July and August.
- Gave away 1000+ Studs Up! water bottles at youth tournaments/events including July 4 Parade in Grand Rapids.
- 250 t-shirts given away at camps, tournaments, even pick up games!
- Underwritten cost of GR Fall Recreation youth league and offered affordable knee to toe package accordingly
- 4000+ mailers sent to registered youth soccer families in W. Michigan announcing our opening (Grand Opening on September 10,11,12)
- Scheduled Studs Up! mini camps at Thanksgiving and Xmas.
