Cleats for Kids
“Our children are the future. Our mission is to nurture their belief in themselves, physically, mentally and socially by providing fun tools to accomplish a healthy body, mind and spirit.”
Warmones Women’s Soccer, Inc. a not-for-profit company has been involved in community work in the Holland area since 1999. What started as a women’s indoor soccer team evolved into a volunteer organization whose mission is “Community through Soccer”. The Warmones have supported the Boys and Girls Club of Holland, The American Cancer Society and the Girls on Track/ Girls on the Run programs.
The group decided in 2006 to change its focus to the sport, which gave its birth in the community, Soccer. Being soccer moms as well as players, the Warmones are aware that a lot of soccer equipment gets outgrown but still has life left.
“Cleats for Kids” is born! A “Collect and Share” program of gently used soccer equipment we match to kids who want to play soccer but lack the proper gear in the Holland Lakeshore Area. Cleat for Kids welcomes, shoes, balls, clothing and other soccer related equipment. The equipment is then distributed through our partners at local schools and organizations who have identified a need.
Gently used soccer equipment can be dropped off at area collection sites: Studs Up! in East Grand Rapids at Gas Light Village & Holland at Riley Square, US 31 & Riley, Gazelle’s on 8th Street in downtown Holland and Running Circles in Downtown Grand Haven at the old piano factory.
Look for our Cleats for Kids bins at these participating drop sites and share your gently used Soccer equipment today.
To contact us please call 616-510-0918 or check with the staff at the participating drop off locations for the Cleats for Kids contact person.
